They had successfully developed a method which enabled us to generate boundary-fitted, orthogonal grids inside any closed irregular 2-D regions. However, their grid-generation program have not had a friendly user interface. A new grid-generation program, called VISUALGRIDMAKER, has been designed and developed in this work. Considering the massive interaction in the grid-generating process between the user and the system, this work uses Windows programming tools and Graphical User Interface (GUI) designing guidelines to enhance the program developed in previous research. The new grid-generating program has a new look and feel, and allows user to control the process of the grid-generation in an interactive and visualized fashion. Several functionalities of the system are implemented as components in order to achieve code-reuse and sharing as well as good expandability for the future research.
