In the present work, we explored the cationic palladium complexes with unsymmetric Phosphorous- Nitrogen (P-N) ligands for polymerization studies. Complex 1, which was synthesized and characterized was subjected for polymerization and copolymerization studies with electron rich olefins viz., 2,5-dihydrofuran [2,5-DHF], isobutyl vinyl ether [IBVE], ethyl propenyl ether [EPE], 2-methoxypropene [MOP] and phenyl vinyl ether [PVE]. In this work, we also discussed the influence of different substituted groups on vinyl ether towards polymerization. We observed that the substituted groups play an important role during polymerization. In some cases, low-molecule-weight polymers were formed, which could be explained by a more stable carbo-cation intermediate during polymerization. In this work, we not only attempted to optimize the best condition for polymerization, but also try to explore the mechanism. All the resulting polymers/copolymers characterized by NMR, IR, GPC, etc are discussed here. Shiuh-Tzung Liu 劉緒宗 2001 學位論文 ; thesis 126 zh-TW |
