It is important for promoting wireless network to establish a wireless network application execution environment which can support multiple type applications or services. WAP provides a solution for wireless network to connect with the Internet, but it is difficult to use WAP when developing applications that need low-level control functionality. Developers would like to use Java language in this situation. In this paper we discuss the design issues and solutions when developing a WAP micro browser. Further more, we propose a solution to integrate WAP and Java, which lets a remote Java application can be downloaded to and excuted on the mobile equipment. It presents how to make the design of application more flexible by combining multiple technologies.
