In track seeking control, we use state feedback control that is based on Kalman filter and implement CD-ROM overall seeking action by self-designed circuits to achieve the target that reads data actually. A precise system parameter is most important for the estimated state by Kalman filter and the performance on seeking control. In CD-ROM dual actuator system, we take on-line system identification method that is based on system step response. Firstly, with the concern of sled actuator, we separate the constant friction force from the system dynamics. Secondly, in Fine actuator, we identify two-degree system model and successfully estimate the disk runout effect.
