A new Bridge-LOM process and a rule of bridge connection are proposed in the paper. The main idea of Bridge-LOM process is to perform cutting before bonding at the same positions, which save the problem of reposition. The rule of bridge connection, which takes the 2D contour information on each layer of the part, is based on two considerations: builds up bridges connecting the part and the outer frame and the possibility of bending. By doing so, 60%-70% waste material can be removed during the machining process. According, after machining process, the waste material remained, which are bridges left in the process, can be removed manually in short time. The Bridge-LOM process is not only save the time for cutting waste material by laser but also shorten the time of decubing. Besides, it makes the production of the hollow or shell shapes much easier. Therefore, it promotes both the performance efficiency of the laminate process and the manufacture ability regardless the geometry of the part. As a result, the Bridge-LOM process, with its advantage of removing waste material during the machining process, has much potential in the application of Rapid Tooling by laminating metal slices. 廖運炫 2001 學位論文 ; thesis 96 zh-TW |
