碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 工業管理系 === 89 === The proliferation of products, models and styles demand business to find a new way of manufacturing to capitalize its competitive advantages. A wide selection of goods and service increases the change of meeting requirements for customers. This trend of customization has deep impact on the bicycle industry as well. Two bicycle companies in Japan and in Europe designed a customized production environment by cleverly converting their business models. A customized order can be delivered in two weeks. By doing this, they gain their new sales and maintain competitive. The bicycle industry in Taiwan, have been a very important exporting industry in the past 30 years. It also confront with the increasingly turbulent market environment. Giant bicycle manufacturing company is the leading world-class manufacturer in Taiwan. In this study, we sampled several cases from materials to design an appropriate customization method to suggest them. We hope the research results can be help to other industries as well.
