Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 機械工程系 === 89 === Modification of Mo and Ni for Ti-6Al-4V alloys by double glow plasma surface alloying technique was carried out. The following techniques such as X-ray Diffractometer(XRD) for determining the crystal structure, scanning electron microscope(SEM) for studing the surface morphologies, Auger electron spectrometer(AES) for investigating the depth profile, and electron probe X-ray microanalyzer(EPMA) for investigating composition distribution were employed to characterize the alloying layer. Vickers microhardness test, bending test, wear test, and indentation test were used for measurement of mechanical properties. Experimental result showed that the microhardness of surface alloying layers increased with addition of Mo and Ni. The wear resistance was also improved. The surface alloying layers had a sufficient adhesion to the Ti-6Al-4V substrate. Diffusion rates of alloying element in substrate affected the thickness of the surface alloying layers. The Mo layer consisted α-Ti phase and Mo-Ti phase. The Ni layer consisted Ni3Ti and Ti2Ni intermetallic phases.
