Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 營建工程系 === 89 === This research performed triaxial tests on remolded specimens of the silty sand recovered from Yuen-Lin town. Dynamic triaxial tests were performed to study the effects of relative density, fines content and freeze-thaw process on the liquefaction resistance. Resonant column tests were performed to study the effects of mean confining pressure, relative density, fines content and freeze-thaw process on the maximun shear modulus. The relationships between maximun shear modulus and liquefaction resistance were established. According to the test results, the expansion due to freezing increases with an increase in relative density and fines content of sand at the condition of same water content. Freeze-thaw process would decrease the liquefaction resistance, its influence increases with increasing relative density. Maximun shear modulus decreases with increasing fines content and decreases after freeze-thaw process.
