The ESM what we called is an equipment refrigerated before we used and released its cool energy when we need. One of the ESM is eutectic compound. It is advancer than others for its various eutectic temperatures. Different eutectic compounds can be used to property temperature. The two eutectic compounds we discussed in this study were water (1)-potassium chloride (2) and water (1)-magnesium chloride (2) mixtures, shown as KCl(aq) and MgCl2(aq). The eutectic temperatures of KCl(aq) and MgCl2(aq) measured by DSC were —11.1℃ and —33.4℃, the eutectic composition were 19.7wt﹪and 21.6wt﹪, respectively. From these data, we also constructed the solid-liquid phase diagrams, and compared with the data in lecture to make it more completely. In the thermal analyses, we found the experimental latent heat values of KCl(aq) and MgCl2(aq) were 293.6 J/g and 208.9 J/g, respectively. The heat capacities, Cp were also calculated and plotted as function of temperatures. The KCl eutectic compound can hold at eutectic temperature for about 15.0 hr in the container, which set in a controlled atmosphere room, and the MgCl2 can hold for about 5.0 hr in the same situation. If there is lower outside temperature or higher efficient of container, the eutectic compounds can hold longer. The results proved that eutectic compounds can save the energy and applied in refrigeration. Muoi Tang 曾梨子 2001 學位論文 ; thesis 85 zh-TW |

碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 材料科學與製造研究所 === 89 === Abstract
For Saving the energy and getting the better efficient, PCM(Phase Change Material)was used as a ESM(Energy Storage Material).
