Therefore customers also ask getting finished products more quickly and higher quality; it will easily evoke employee’s perception toward work conditions, characteristics and environment affecting work performance. The purpose of this study is realizing perception toward work environment of new employees in prepress department in order to suggest for graphic communication administrators to train and develop employees. The research object is investigated and based on new employees (tenure less than 12 months) in prepress department around Taipei area, which is subsidiary to Register of Taiwan Printing Industry Association. The results of this study were as follows: 1.Work values of new employees in prepress department include 7 dimensions. They are growth & achieve, dignity & healthy, company environment & system, colleague, traffic, social service, and organizational security. 2.Job satisfaction of new employees in prepress department includes 6 dimensions. They are supervisor leadership, work itself, pay, promotions, interpersonal relation with colleague, and workload & turnover. 3.This study shows that there is low relationship between work value and job satisfaction of new employees in prepress department. 4.The difference between demographic variables(sex, marriage , age, education, salary, tenure, similar work experience) and work value to new employees in prepress department shows below: (1)There are significant difference between education and work value with growth & achieve and overall. (2)There is significant difference between similar work experience and overall work value. 5.The difference between demographic variables(sex, marriage, age, education, salary, tenure, similar work experience) and job satisfaction to new employees in prepress department shows below: (1)There is significant difference between marriage and workload & turnover. (2)There are significant difference between tenure and job satisfaction with pay and promotions.
