By different individual and family item of junior high school students to understand variation of sex role, gender stereotype and gender interaction. The data of this study is collected through a reliable and valid self-report questionnaire. The population for this study consists of junior high school students in Keelung, Taiwan. Purposeful sampling is employed to draw a sample. 406 students gave valid responses to the questionnaire. The questionnaire is composed of four separate sections: (1) Personal Background Questionnaire, (2) Sex Role Scale, (3) Gender Stereotype Scale, (4) Gender Interaction Scale. The Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) was used to analyze data. Statistical analyses used in this study included descriptive statistics, frequency distribution, percent, mean, chi-square analysis, t-test, one-way analyses of variance, Pearson correlation, linear regression analysis and path analysis. The results of this study are: (一)There is a significant difference between gender and sex role. The age, grade, marital status of parents, social position of family, and parents division of housework are irrelevant to the sex role. (二)A significant difference exists between grade and gender stereotype. Those who have lower grades are more stereotypical, and gender, age, marital status of parents, social position of family, and parents division of housework are irrelevant to the gender stereotype. (三)There is a significant difference between grade and gender interaction. (四)There is no significant difference between gender stereotype and sex role (for male students, female students, and all students). (五)There is a significant difference between gender interaction and sex role (for male students, female students, and all students). (六)The gender stereotype and gender interaction have negative correlation. (七)The regression analysis of sex role, gender stereotype and gender interaction. 1、Gender can predict masculinity and feminine. 2、Social position of family can predict masculinity. 3、Grade and masculinity can predict gender stereotype of male. 4、Feminine and parent’s education can predict gender stereotype of female. 5、Feminine, grade and masculinity can predict gender interaction of male. 6、Masculinity, feminine and marital status of parents can predict gender interaction of female. (八)Path analysis of sex role, gender stereotype and gender interaction. 1、When sex role type more strong that gender stereotype more obvious. When male got high score that gender stereotype are not obvious. If parents have high education that gender stereotype are not obvious. 2、When sex role type more strong that gender interaction more obvious. When male got high score that gender interaction are not obvious. Marital status of parents more stable that gender interaction are not obvious. According to result of this study to suggest parents, teachers and academic research。 HUANG, CHI- CHENG 黃志成 2001 學位論文 ; thesis 131 zh-TW
