The questionnaire tests 946 students of 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th grade the preference of peer''''s 14 characteristics, which includes:positive physical appearance, negative physical appearance, prosocial behavior, aggressive behavior, positive personality trait, negative personality trait, possession of specialty, possession of no specialty, high similarity, low similarity, positive academic performance, negative academic performance, positive status in class, and negative status in class. The findings are as followings: First of all, those peers who have the characteristics of positive physical appearance, prosocial behavior, positive personality trait, possession of specialty, high similarity, positive academic performance, and positive status in class are liked by all students. Those peers who have the characteristics of negative physical appearance, aggressive behavior, negative personality trait, possession of no specialty, negative academic performance, and negative status in class are disliked by all students. Secondly, the 2nd and 4th graders like those peers who have characteristics of positive physical appearance, prosocial behavior, positive personality trait, possession of specialty, positive academic performance, and positive status in class more than the students of 6th and 8th graders do. The 6th and 8th graders like those peers who have characteristics of negative physical appearance, aggressive behavior, negative personality trait, possession of no specialty, low similarity, negative academic performance, and negative status in class more than 2nd and 4th graders do. Thirdly, girls like those peers who have the characteristics of prosocial behavior and positive personality trait more than boys do. On the contrary, boys like those peers who have characteristics of negative physical appearance, aggressive behavior, and negative personality trait more than girls do. Fourthly, among the 2nd graders, rejected students like those peers who have the characteristics of aggressive behavior, negative personality trait, and negative academic performance more than average, neglected, and popular students do.
