To provide personalization, we first have to know where the needs of Internet users are. We use data mining technology to analyze the access patterns of Internet users. By the observed results we get, we can find out of where the needs of Internet users are. Each of the Internet Services Provider and the Web Site Administrator can use these results to provide personalization service for Internet users. In this thesis, we propose two kinds of frameworks to provide personalization in different environments on Internet. These two different environments are the single Web Site and the relationship between multiple Web Sites. The major technique that used in our frameworks is data mining. The methods of data mining technologies we use in these frameworks are including Weighted Association Rules, Multi-level Association Rules, and Classification.
