碩士 === 實踐大學 === 企業管理研究所 === 89 === Abstract In 1996, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) issued a report on knowledge economy indicating that knowledge is essential for productivity and economy growth. Through the characteristics of knowledge economy, this study focuses on the production operation management（POM）strategy applied by Taiwan’s enterprises . It is hoped that they can survive and prosper in the competitive environment. Furthermore, the result of the study can be a basis for adjusting the teaching of production operation management in colleges. Applying the 「Grounded Theory」,the study finds that the POM strategy has changed in the knowledge economy environment in two aspects : 1.The execution of POM strategy has some “phenomena of focus prejudiced.” 2.The POM strategy has a new construction called “ segment information plan.”
