The content of this research is about active control of variable speed pumps to suppress the surge pressure in the pipeline system. And also discussed in effects of suppressing the transient pressure and the pressure control of pipeline system, on three different models likes load of single pumps, load of multiple pumps by sequence control, load of multiple pumps by variable frequency synchronous and with tuning the variables of equipment. The research is consist of the followings. First, built a procedure of controller design for the pressure control system of water pumps in real time. Second, establish two constructs of controller of multiple pumps and two controllers of multiple pumps not only satisfying the pressure but also effectively suppressing the peak pressure wave when surge happens. All the results of experiment above two items are implemented through the procedure of theoretical analysis and experimental verification. In the research, the effects of controller of multiple pumps and two controllers of multiple pumps in the pressure control of pipeline system are fine. By comparing the result of using two controllers of multiple pumps to suppress the pressure peak decreases 60﹪due to response of open loop control, which also forces the pressure in pipeline obviously approaching the set value in a short period after water-hammer happened, so the result of suppressing the pressure peak value is fine.
