Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 土木與防災技術研究所 === 89 === In this thesis, the experimental and theoretical results of circular section reinforced concrete (RC) bridge columns retrofitted by carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) jacketing were introduced. The design of the RC circular bridge columns was based on the old (before 1995) bridge seismic design codes in Taiwan (MOTC, 1987). The benchmark tests of bridge column with shear failure modes as tested in the National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering (NCREE). Also introduced are the seismic retrofitting design and the experimental performance of bridge column retrofitted by CFRP jacketing for the shear failure mode. The experimental results show that the retrofit can incredibly improve the seismic performance (ductility and strength) and can change the failure mode of bridge columns. The Lin and Li confined concrete constitutive model can predict the results more accurate than Mander’s models.
