Description
Summary:碩士 === 淡江大學 === 化學工程學系 === 89 === Effect of arrangement on the performance of a membrane mass exchanger with dialysis and ultrafiltration was investigated theoretically in the present work. The analysis was also applied to the operation of difiltration. The solute concentration and separation efficiencies for counter-current, co-current and cross-flow system were derived and discussed under various ultrafiltration flux and solute sieving coefficients. The mass transfer rate of solute increases with increasing overall mass transfer coefficient, ultrafiltration flux, as well as the flow rates in retentate phase and in dialysate phase. The mass transfer rate in the counter-current flow system is the highest. Ultrafiltration flux can enhance the mass transfer rate, while the enhancement in co-current flow system is larger than that in counter-current or cross flow system. The result of difiltration experiment shows that solute concentration in the bacth tank decays with the operation time and the ultrafiltration flux. The decay rate increases with the decrease of tube-side flow rate. The counter-current flow operation has a larger decay rate of solute concentration than the co-current flow system.
