Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺北市立師範學院 === 視覺藝術研究所 === 89 === This research aimed to: (1) discuss the effect of art therapy intervention with a chronic schizophrenic patient; (2) examine self- work during the process of this client research. This research was a case study, took a 49-year-old chronic schizophrenic female as the client and used supportive art therapy as the direction. The therapy took place in 60-90 minutes a time, once a week, for 12 weeks. 36 weeks’ behavior observation were followed after the termination of the therapy, but only 12 weeks’ records were shown in this paper. The research used Free Drawing Projective Test, House-Tree-Person Projective Test, Behavior Observation Form, nurse and medical records, visitor records, and interview with nurses as research measurements to understand the problems of the client, and to evaluate the change of behavior. By those information, the proper art therapy activities that the client needed were provided. The result of this research showed: (1) the client’s self-confidence and ego strengths were enhanced during the art therapy process; (2) the client’s withdrawal behavior was improved after the therapy has been terminated for 5 weeks.
