The generalized secret sharing scheme is a practical system for key management.
Most secret sharing schemes encounter a hard problem - cheating problem. How to solve the problem is an important issue. In this paper, we first propose a new approach to detect cheaters. The proposed scheme can be implemented with very few secret informations for each participant.
We also propose a new generalized secret sharing scheme with cheater detection. The security of the scheme is based on solving the discrete logarithm problem. The advantage of the scheme is that the sender need not to distribute secret information to all participants of the intended groups, and cheaters can also be detected.
