| Summary: | 碩士 === 國防大學中正理工學院 === 電子工程研究所 === 90 === This thesis mainly proposes a Knowledge-Based Network Management System, which is able to provide well performance on network exploring and management. The system is developed by the PHP homepage script language and PostgreSQL database, thus provides flexible and platform-independent interface. Users only need to use the web browser to operate it. The network administrator can get the useful information of network management in all the on-line computers, not only in specific platforms.
This system uses various network knowledge including architectures, devices, protocols and experiences to probe and search for all kinds of network management data and saves them in the network database. The network administrator can take control of the network situations and solve the network problems by querying and examining the system.
Based on the increasing necessity of the network security, this system also includes the application layer scan capability. By combining the present network states and the application information, the system can efficiently analyze and diagnose the network security problems.
The structures of the system are implemented via modularized design and thus improve the porting and installation procedures. The network administrator can rewrite this program to satisfy the automation of network management in the future.
