The polystyrene macromonomer(SSTM) can be obtained from a reaction of a living polystyrene initiated with alkyllithium and terminated with p-chloromethyl styrene (PCMS). Star-shaped polystyrene can be produced via linking SSTM by using n-butyllithium as an initiator. Due to the living site in the center of the core, living polymerization for making star polymers can be carried out. After the addition of isoprene We can synthesize comb-shaped (PS)nPI nonlinear block copolymers. To synthesize well-defined H-shaped (PS)nPI(PS)n nonlinear block copolymers it is a common practice to react comb-shaped (PS)nPI with ifunctional coupling agent 1,2-dibromoethane(DBE). Compared with an analogous linear polystyrene-b-polyisoprene-poly- styrene (SIS) ,and H-shaped (PS)nPI(PS)n nonlinear block copolymer has a different with Tg ,and exhibits a different morphology having a hard domain of a droplet-cluster type.In addition, the vis G'、G"、tanδ were measured using Rheometer.
