Summary: | 碩士 === 中華大學 === 機械與航太工程研究所 === 90 === In this study, a cooling fan with a centrifugal blade and centrifugal housing is investigated including design, numerical simulation, mockup manufacture, and experiment. At first, rotors are designed by the theory of blade design, and using the design experience of the compressor of P-60 engine, employing the STAR-CD to do 3D numerical simulation, as well as the prototype can be made by 5-axis CNC machine. Later, the experimental of performance will be tested in AMCA 210-85 chamber. The numerical analysis results show that the pressure of suction surface and pressure surface near Hub increase gradually up to a half length of camberline distance, then after that, increase dramatically to the outlet. And the pressure is concentrated at the suction surface and pressure surface near Tip, this shows the region is easy to defect in high rotational speed. The experimental results show that the fan compare with reference sample in 2000 rpm, the decrease in volume flow rate and static pressure are 32% and 59%. But in 4000 rpm the increase in volume flow rate and static pressure are 38% and 82%. This shows the static pressure of centrifugal fan in high rotation speed is higher than axial fan, so we can choose the centrifugal fan design somewhere when the system needs higher static pressure.
