Description
Summary:碩士 === 中華大學 === 機械與航太工程研究所 === 90 === Abstract In this thesis, a computer aided engineering (CAE) analysis tool is used for the dynamic analysis of the front suspension system on a vehicle. The Macpherson front suspension system, which popularly used in small cars, is utilized as the model in order to analyze the changing of the front suspension system, such as camber, steering axis, caster, toe-in and toe-out during its working conditions. More specifically, the Adams/car module that is specially designed for the analysis of vehicle structure is utilized. The analysis process starts from the creation of the 3D solid modeling of all the components of the front suspension system. Their boundary conditions, applying forces or other parameters are set corresponding to the connections between each of the component. All of these form a multibody system model. The data of the simulated results are stored as a state vector in the software and can be read later for further application. Finally, all the simulated results will be compared with the calculated data offered by manufacturer. According to the study of this thesis, the changing parameters of the suspension system can be expected, the traditional trial and error design processes can be reduced. Keywords: camber, steering-axis inclination angle, caster, toe-in,, multi body system, ADAMS.
