| Summary: | 碩士 === 中國醫藥學院 === 環境醫學研究所 === 90 === On September 21, 1999 at 1：47 am, a powerful earthquake (7.3 Richter scale) struck center Taiwan, This critical disaster made 2,494 people die, 51,712 houses collapse and 53,768 houses seriously damage.
The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the variability of disease type for people in the 921 earthquake affected region. And the final result reveals that before and after earthquake, the front four medical expenses (in sequence) are: Acute upper respiratory infection, Nephrotic syndrome with glomerulosclerosis, Hypertensive disease and Diabetes Mellitus. Compare with the victims of the 921 earthquake and average people in front ten medical expenses, before and after earthquake, the heavy diversity (>20%) disease types are: Acute upper respiratory infection, Benign spine lesion, Degenerative Joint Disease, Dermal disease, Cataract, Acute bronchitis, Conjunctivitis, Gastroenteritis, etc. The increase rate of victims medical expenses is 67%~79% in Dermal disease and Gastroenteritis; others likes Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertensive disease and Heart-vessel disease is higher than average, especially in temporary house residant.
Besides, this research is attempt to determine the recovering time for specific disease after critical disaster, and tries to set up statistics model.
