Using this methods can enlarge the carbon content on the surface because of through modification, two silane phases were existed on the surface and reacted with surface hydroxyl groups. Whatever using different kind of organic silane, all of them can improvement the hydrothermal stability of the resulting mesoporous. In addition to their applications of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) to separate polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). The modified mesoporous can successful separate the PAHs, and the effective of separations are good. The separation effect were relative to the carbon chain length of organic silane and the polarity of mobile phase.
