Description
Summary:碩士 === 中原大學 === 機械工程研究所 === 90 === The purpose of this research is to study the behavior of droplet and the distribution of the spray droplet concentration under the enclosure fire. By carrying out this study, a more detailed knowledge can be achieved for the understanding of the effect of the droplets with different diameters on the flow field, the temperature, and the smoke layer distribution. The finite-volume formulation associated with the PHOENICS computational methodology was used in the enclosure fire study. For the cases with spray, the two-fluid model coupled with the inter-phase slip algorithm (IPSA) was used. The turbulence model used was the standard κ-ε model. For various simulations of the fire scenarios, the parameters evaluated were concentration (expressed in terms of the mass fraction), temperature, and velocity. The results obtained from the numerical simulations appeared to be reasonable. However, the methodology developed by this study can be validated by comparing the results obtained from this method with experimental data.
