Description
Summary:碩士 === 朝陽科技大學 === 應用化學系碩士班 === 90 === Abstract As paper mills are use more recycled materials and close up white water systems, water quality tends to deteriorate and slimes resulting from attached microbial growth on paper machine parts becomes more serious. Microbial slimes obtain nutrients from water and form gelatinous films that may also form aggregates with other solids materials and become sticky deposits. Detached slimes would then cause spots and holes on the paper products and could lead to loss of paper strength and more brokes. The growth conditions needed for slime growth are discussed and various preventive measures delineated. The kinds and proper applications of biocides are request in the papermaking system. The study is research 8 species biocide to do mixing. After mixing we addition it in the sample and measure the total bacteria count and yeast/mold count. It will find the mixture that is a good killing rate for papermaking microorganism. The best results of this study are QUAT10% & Sulfone 10% mixture, QUAT 5% & Sulfone 15% mixture, QUAT12% & Sulfone 8% mixture and Dithiol 5% & MBTBC 15% mixture. We can get total bacteria count killing rate over 95% and yeast/mold killing rate over 70%. If we need feed biocide for additive chemical to prevent mold. We can recommend to use MBTBC 10% and Sulfone 10% mixture. It can get yeast/mold killing rate over 70%, too.
