碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 圖書資訊學系 === 90 === “I Wen Lei Chu” is the earilist and complete Chinese encyclopedia. Li Yuan order Ou Yang Hsun to edit it in A.D.622. “I Wen Lei Chu” has 100 Volumes, 46 Main classification, and have material for confucianism, history, philosophy, and poetry. “I Wen Lei Chu” is a pioneer of form in Chinese encyclopedia, so which was always praise by later generations. To arouse academic circles’s attention, this thesis expound “I Wen Lei Chu”’s key position in Chinese encyclopedia history. There are some summaries under here: First chapter is talk about this research’s motive, purpose, and the way of study. Second chapter explain the characteristics of “I Wen Lei Chu”’s form. Third chapter explain the thought of Class’s Classified arrangement. Fourth chapter probe into the index function which “I Wen Lei Chu” have. Fifth chapter assemble 1~4 chapter’s theory to explain the effect from “I Wen Lei Chu”. Then we can know “I Wen Lei Chu” have what kinds of value. Last chapter narrate this study’s achievement and make a self-examination. Then also suggest some directions to proceed other research. In conclusion, through this study will understand “I Wen Lei Chu”’s form and it’s ideology background clearly. It also will know the really worth that “I Wen Lei Chu” have and the clever wisdom which cover in Chinese encyclopedia. This is the biggest objective that I wish to reach.
