Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 工業設計學系碩博士班 === 90 === This paper presents of an anthropometry of hand survey on male and female elementary school children, age between 11 and 14 in Tainan city of Taiwan. The purpose of this paper was to construct a database of hand of static anthropometry for school children. Designers and engineers could use it to design the keyboard and mouse for the use of school children. The study applies background or superimposed grid techniques of photographic methods and CorelDRAW. This experiment cluster sampling 301 children (155 boys and 146 girls). According to the operating behaving of children that used of keyboard and mouse, 66 regions of hand were decided. All original data was transacted by a formulation of error function (Y= -1.071+1.033X;Unit:mm). The results indicate that the hand dimensions of the final data of elementary school children. In addition, the stature ratio for males was compared with that of females. It is expected that the data can be provide designers and engineers to create designed keyboard and mouse for school children. Thereby designing a appropriate and safe operating environment.
