Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 化學工程學系碩博士班 === 90 === Abstrate The controlled organization of metal nanosized particles into ordered structures has the unique optical, electrical, magnetic, and catalytic properties. In particular, the formation of compact metal nanoshell, usually can be achieved only by multiple stages. In this work, the compact Ni and Ag nanoshells can be formed on polystyrene microspheres by a single-stage coating in a polyol medium. The result showed that the one-step formation of compact Ni and Ag nanoshells on PS microspheres can be achieved in ethylene glycol under appropriate temperature, metal salts and reducing agent concentrations, and additives. The analyses of TEM、AFM image and phase image revealed the resultant metal nanoshells was compact. The saturation magnetization of Ni-coated PS spheres at 25˚C was 93 emu/g, much higher than bulk nickel and nickel nanoparticles. The self-organization of metal-coated PS spheres implied their potential application in photonic crystals.
