Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 高階管理碩士在職專班 === 90 === This article investigates the factors that affect the form of entry modes into the international market by testing the Transaction Cost model. Data from146 medical instruments manufacturers was used to estimate a logistic regression model of the probability of “subsidiaries” or “agents”. The results indicate that entry modes are associated with the degree of product specificity, environmental uncertainty, and company size. There is no significant correlation between entry modes and culture differences, exporting experiences and the channel of distribution. The number of available agents in the target market is related to the entry modes via an indirect channel.
