The study employed a qualitative approach with the researcher serving as the primary instrument. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 13 homeschooling parents from 11 families. In addition, the technique of document analysis was used to collect data. Data analysis was performed by using the grounded theory method. The study concluded that religion faith is the most important reason for home schooling; homeschooling parents develop their own curriculum and lesson plans based on the elementary school curriculum standards; textbooks are the main instructional materials and a variety of teaching methods are adopted in the home schools. The factors influencing the homeschooling process and the effects of homeschooling were also discussed in the study.
