Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 特殊教育學系在職進修專班 === 90 === A Study of Job Satisfaction for the Special Education Paraprofessionals Hui-Lih Wang Abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate the job satisfaction of the special education paraprofessionals at the primary and junior high school in Taiwan . This study was also to examine whether the paraprofessionals with different personal and work-related backgrounds had different degree of job satisfaction. The questionnaire of Job Satisfaction for The Special Education Paraprofessionals was developed by the researcher. It had 21 items with 4 scales : Reward、Sense of Accomplishment、In-Service Education and Working Environment . One hundred and ninety three subjects participated in this study. The results of this study were summarized as follows : 1.The paraprofessionals were not satisfied with their work .In the terms of four subscales , they were only satisfied with their working environment . 2.Those who were over 41 years old were more satisfied with their job than those of 31-40 years old. 3.Those who were married were more satisfied with their job than singles. 4. Those having senior high school degree were more satisfied with their job than those of junior college degree. 5.Those having related working experience were more satisfied with their job than those having no. 6.Those working at general education schools were more satisfied with their job than those in special education schools .
