Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 國際企業研究所 === 90 === Abstract The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of the technology transfer modes and national cultural difference on transfer performance. This research used technology transfer modes as independent variables, transfer performance as dependent variable, and national cultural difference as moderators. The research subject included chain coffee stores, chain convenience stores, and chain fast food restaurants. The research methodology used descriptive analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and ANOVA. The results of research showed that, in the aspect of technology transfers modes, there existed significant differences in “document-transfer” and “shopkeepers communicate with staff at head office” among the chain stores of U.S., Japan, and Taiwan. There existed significant differences in “power distance” and “individualism” among the chain stores of U.S., Japan, and Taiwan. If chain stores choose the paper-intensive transfer mode, the transfer performance would tend to be influenced by the “individualism” and “uncertainty avoidance”. However, if the chain stores choose the people-intensive transfer mode, the transfer performance might be influenced by the “individualism”, “uncertainty avoidance” and “power distance”. This research suggested that the managers of chain stores should understand the culture both host country and parent country. Finding out and managing their differences will bring higher profits.
