碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 資訊工程學系 === 90 === We present a new method for generating 3D crack patterns using 3D Voronoi diagram. This method allows 3D crack patterns demonstrating on a given triangulated 3D object. The Voronoi diagram is computed using the Quickhull algorithm. Then we intersect the input model with the Voronoi diagram to obtain crack patterns. By controlling Voronoi sites and some parameters, we have a novel set of crack patterns. Our method can be implemented easily but the visual effect is realistic as shown in the experimental results.
