To serve this purpose, the related papers and theories are surveyed , the functional analysis mode is applied and experts are consulted. Then , the functional map and the 6 indexes and 45 items of specialized competence of stamping die design and analysis are developed. The training courses and their contents of precision stamping die design and analysis engineers are formed according above functional map and specialized competence. Those can provide university as reference for planning precision stamping die design and analysis courses. Furthermore, a questionnaire survey was conducted on Taiwan’s die factories , which are specialized stamping die design with the capital exceeding NT. 50million dollars and the workforce over 50 people. Among the 64 factories as samples, 25 questionnaires are studied. Through the analysis of two specialized competence index items “Important Levels” and ”Difficulty of Technology”, the criterion of evaluating precision stamping die design and analysis engineers is completed, it is divided into three levels: basic ability, intermediate ability, and advanced ability. These three levels can be as the important reference for establishing the national license system for professional skills of precision stamping die engineers.
