Yu-Huang Hung Abstract The purpose of the research is to understand the parent and children roles，their interflow and the different and same situation of the parent and children roles in the last ten years.Result of the research is expected to be reference which cre-- -ate and chose picture books﹒ The analysical object in the research is each children’s literary praise in the last ten years and other publisher’s catalog of infants’picture books in the last ten years，collect to each library and chose picture books which display parent and children roles or interflow situation in pictures or words﹒ Then the research uses “content analysis”，and basis on the Category list to do Quantitative statistics and qualitative content analysis﹒The study has the following primary findings: 1. Whether the part of pictures or words of infants’ picture books in Taiwan area and occident，and it show that the appearance rate of mother is more than father﹒ 2. The appearance rate of Taiwan area fathers on pictures or words is closed to occident fathers，and mothet are the same﹒ 3. Whether Taiwan area pictures books or occident ones，the appear -ence rate of son is much more than daughters﹒It shows sex-stereotyped con —cepts still exist on children roles﹒ 4. Whether Taiwan area or occident parent，the highest appearance rate is the expressive parent roles and the lowest appearance rate is the instr- -umental parent roles﹒But occident parent attach more importance to the interflow of emotiom than Taiwan area ones﹒ 5. The occident parent take more care for their children，but occident children are more independent；the situation of Taiwan area is opposite﹒ 6. The Taiwan area children roles are similar to occident ones，and the five forward is showing personality、sharing experience and feelings、expre- ssing emotion、obeying or resisting parent’s teaching、express desires﹒ 7. The occident fathers which appearance rate of the instrumental par- ent roles are lower than mothers’,mothers emphasize in “life care”、father emphasize in “breadwin”﹒ 8. The appearance rate of occident fathers in the expressive roles are more than mothers，but Tauwan area mothers are more than fathers. 9.The occident boys and girls already skip over original concepts--girl are more active；Taiwan area girls are still weak and passive. 10.Whether Taiwan area or occident infants’picture books，they don’t sedulously mention what parents’occupation in “breadwin”. 11.Whether Taiwan area or occident infants’picture books，the picture of parent in “household duties clean”are that they show their back. 12. Whether Taiwan area or occident parent in ”listen attentively and reply”，mothers always take passive attention；fathers usually ask actively and search the solving way. 13.In “create joyous”，the occident parents more usually create joyous for family，and whether Taiwan area or occident parents，fathers are willing to tease their children. 14.In the content of sharing household duties，and parents usually app -ear to close children and finish work together. 15.Brietly，occident pictures books’creative style is more bold and diversify，and Taiwan area ones are more soft and conservative. The least，according to the result of research，we propos to publishers 、parents、teachers、library、and others；and take down the mood and the process of the thesis writing during one year.
