碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 國民教育研究所國語文教學碩士班 === 90 === Abstract The study aims as investigating the qualities of folk children’s stories in Romance of Enfeoffed Gods [Feng Shen Yan Yi]. In the paper, a comprehensive investigation and investigation will be made on the book, Romance of Enfeoffed Gods by making analyses from the characteristics of folk children’s stories, such as imagination, fabrication, abnormality, etc. There are six chapters in the book: Chapter 1: Preface. It introduces the intentions, purposes, approach and limitations of this research, and gives a brief introduction to the relevant literature about folk children’s stores and Romance of Enfeoffed Gods. Chapter 2: Discussion on Folk Children’s Stories. First of all, there is an introduction to the definition and classification of children’s stories. Then it discusses about the definition and classification of folk children’s stories, and talks about the characteristics of folk children’s stores from the aspects of their wordings, themes, images of characters, structure, etc. It also introduces the way of expression commonly found in folk children’s stories. Chapter 3: Brief Description of Romance of Enfeoffed Gods. It gives a brief description of Romance of Enfeoffed Gods from the outer portion to the inner portion. Regarding the outer portion, the description discusses about two things: the origin and background. As for the inner portion, it focuses on the analyses of the thematic ideas and writing skills. Chapter 4: Qualities of Folk Children’s Stories in Romance of Enfeoffed Gods – Imagination and Fabrication. From the description of characters, the fabricated plots and scenes, and the magical circumstances and incantations, this chapter introduces the qualities of folk children’s stories found in Romance of Enfeoffed Gods. Chapter 5: Qualities of Folk Children’s Stories in Romance of Enfeoffed Gods – Magic and Treasures. Magic and treasures are the ways of imagination most commonly adopted in the folk children’s stories. The magic and treasures mentioned in the book are so many, magical and strange. This chapter divides magic into two kinds: “the magic that subdues the enemy” and “the self-protecting magic.” As for treasures, they are divided into 15 kinds. Besides, focusing on the magic and treasures with scientific nature, an additional section is given for discussion. Chapter 6: Conclusion. Conclusions are made from three aspects: the deliverance influence of the magical style of Romance of Enfeoffed Gods, the application of the techniques of children’s stories in Romance of Enfeoffed Gods, and the value of Romance of Enfeoffed Gods on children’s education.
