Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 國教所初等教育學系學校行政碩士班 === 90 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the job stress and coping strategy of the
elementary schools’ directors of general affairs in Tainan county. This study adopted
both of the questionnaires and interviews to achieve the purposes stated above. The
focus group included 127 elementary schools’ directors of general affairs in Tainan
county .
Four major conclusions of this study were as follows:
1.Perception of job stress of the elementary schools’ directors of general affairs was
above average. The coping strategies were used more frequently.
2.the connection between different background and job stress:
(1) In “ job stress”, female directors had higher sensitivity than male directors.
(2) In “ job stress”, the directors of 31-40 years old had higher sensitivity than the
directors of 41-50 years old and 51-60 years old.
(3)In “ job stress”, the single directors had higher sensitivity than the married
directors.
(4) In “ job stress”, the directors of less one year experience had higher sensitivity
than the directors of 6-10 years experiences.
(5) In “ job stress”, the directors of 11-20 years experiences had higher sensitivity
than the directors of 21-30 years experiences and of over 31 years experiences.
(6) There were no significant difference about sensitivity with job stress between
directors in service area, different educational backgrounds and size of school
enrollment.
3. Analyzing coping strategy of the elementary schools’ directors of general affairs
with different background:
(1) There were no significant differences about ways of coping between elementary
schools’ directors of general affairs in marriage, educational background and
male and female.
(2) In“coping strategy” the directors of 31-40 years old got higher point than the
directors of 41-50 years old.
(3) In “coping strategy” the directors of 11-20 years experiences got higher point
than the directors of 21-30 years experiences
4.Analyzing coping strategy of the directors with different perception of job stress:
(1) In coping strategy, the groups with higher sensitivity about “job stress” got
higher point than the groups with lower sensitivity.
