Summary:碩士 === 臺南師範學院 === 資訊教育研究所 === 90 === In the Chinese-language-teaching areas in the elementary school today, the teaching materials are still confined in two areas: traditional pencil and paper tests and teaching simply on the chalkboard. Their teaching materials are limited that the teacher cannot tutor a student one-on-one with learning difficulties. They cannot give him or her immediate tutoring. For those who are naughty in class, it will be good if we can offer them computers for learning. This study is based on the related theories and structures of CAI, including Internet, computerized multi-media, human-and-machine interaction schema, and data bases, to develop a CAI system that deals with the Chinese-language teaching. As a result, we can upgrade students’ motivations and effects in Chinese, first, to make up what is insufficient in the traditional Chinese word teachings by the presentation of the lively multi-media, and then to decrease the teacher’s burdens in teaching and increase the students’ interests in learning, and eventually that the teacher will be more efficient in teaching. To extend the range of applications, this system is modified to a WWW-based CAI system for the long distance learning. Accordingly, the result, teaching using this CAI teaching system, reveals that the learning teams using CAI have a more effective learning outcome than those learning in a traditional classroom.
