The measures applied in this study included the Well-being Scale , Prosocial Behavior Questionnaure,and Sociometric Status Questionnaure. Seven hundred seven public six-grade elementary children were select from Tainan city,Tainan county,Kaohsiung city and Kaohsiung county.Descriptive and inferential statistic methods,including independent Samples t-test, one-way ANOVA, person product-moment correlation. and regression analysis. The results indicated that: 1. the subjective well-being of elementary children is good. 2. the girls show higher subjective well-being than boy on the whole or part aspects. 3. the older children were, the lower the degree of subjective well-being was. 4. the more prosocial behavior the children performance , the higher degree of subjective well-being they feel. 5. the higher peer social status the children , the higher degree of subjective well-being they feel. 6. the children''''s peer social status , family status and prosocial behavior can predict their subjective well-being.
