To make the ideal and vision of information education come true, the elementary school students should have certain network literacy. The purpose of this study is to realize the elementary school students’network literacy, network usage, and their troubles of using network. And the research took students’background and network usage as independence variables to compare the difference of network literacy. The study was based on literature analysis and questionnaire survey. After designing research variables, make the questionnaire entitled“Survey of the Network Literacy of elementary school students”. The samples were 1,020 elementary school senior students chosen from the Tainan City of Taiwan. 616 surveys were available for a valid rate of 60.4%. All the responses to the investigation questionnaires were analyzed by SPSS for Windows 10.0. The statistical methods include mean value, percentage, and MANOVA. The conclusion of the study summarized as follows: 1.The network literacy of elementary school students are above the average level. Most of them have positive network attitude, basic network knowledge and network skill. 2.Gender do not have significant difference in elementary school students’ network literacy, but the variables of grade,network usage age, home computer and network facilities, parents network ability do. 3.The variables of network usage hours, network usage places, network usage divisions of time, and network tools have significant difference in elementary school students’ network literacy. 4.The network usage of elementary school students is briefly described as follows: network usage hour of them is beyond one hour, network usage divisions of time is usually in holiday, network usage place is usually at home. Over half of elementary school students use WWW and E-mail, most of them do not use BBS. Their main motives of network usage are to inquire the information; they usually learn network knowledge from teacher. 5.The different of elementary school students is briefly described as follows: the main trouble of network usage in school is jamming; the main trouble in using network is do not understand English; the main trouble in school network curriculum is the shortage of practice; the support of their need in learning network is available computer classroom.
