Secondary, the researcher also investigated the differences of principal''''s demographic variables and schools'''' background variables among principal''''s transformational leadership and school effectiveness. Thirdly, to analyze the relationships among principal''''s transformational leadership and school effectiveness. Finally, to explore predictive power of principal''''s transformational leadership on school effectiveness, and proposing a personal conclusion and suggestion to educational administration authority, elementary school administration, principals and future researchers.
The research methods are literary analysis and questionnaire survey and interview. This study employed the survey method. The survey was targeted for the school administrators and teachers, including principals, deans, directors and teachers, of public elementary schools in Taipei city and Taipei county. 967 samples were delivered to 61 elementary schools, and 822 of them retrieved. Data were analyzed using the method of descriptive and inferential statistics, included Frequencies, t-test, ANOVA, Correlation analysis, canonical Correlation and Multiple stepwise regression analysis. The major findings were:
1.The elementary school of Taipei County and Taipei City is with the type of Medium-High principal''''s transformational leadership and school effectiveness.
2.The elementary school’ principal''''s transformational leadership is differentiated by the varied cause of school environment and individual
variables.
3.The elementary school’ school effectiveness is differentiated by the
varied cause of school environment and individual variables.
4.The higher the principal''''s transformational leadership,the better the
school effectiveness.
5.There is Medium-High positive correlation between the whole and every dimension of principal''''s transformational leadership and the ones of school effectiveness.
6.There are two canonical factors between the dimensions of principal''''s
transformational leadership and the ones of school effectiveness, and the explanation for the variance existence is as high as 64.95%.
7.The part aspect of intellectual stimulation of principal''''s transformational leadership can make major prediction of the whole school effectiveness.
Based on the results of this study, to make some suggestions for educational administration agencies. Elementary school’s principal as reference for adopting transformational leadership and enhancing school effectiveness.
1.Suggestions for educational administration agencies
(1)To put special emphasis on principal preparation , training and license to enhance principal''''s effective leadership.
(2)To pay more attention to evaluation and selection to enhance principal''''s transformational leadership.
(3)To build a multi-channel for professional development to enhance principal''''s transformational leadership.
(4)Try best to minimize the number of classes to enhance the teachers’
teach quality and lift the efficiency of school.
(5)To organize advanced activities for principal''''s transformational leadership.
2.Suggestions for school administration
(1)To adopt transformational leadership the part aspect of intellectual stimulation
(2)To work together to create school vision, and school ideal
(3)To enhance the action research of nine-year course to fulfill the
activities of learning and growing.
3.Suggestions for school’s principals
(1) To take advantages of transformational leadership strategies to enhance the school effectiveness.
(2)The principal should examine the result and raise the countermeasures by the targets of the school effectiveness.
(3)The principal should organize many professional learning activities in education
(4)The principal should enhance the strategy in intellectual stimulation and inspiring motivation to promote the principal’s professional ability and obtain the support of parents in communities.
(5)The principal should build the environment of learning and growing to promote the school effectiveness.
4. Suggestions for further research
One may expand the samples and scope or study another topic of the research.
