An enterprise is being success or fail, which decided by strategy, the correct strategy is a key point of the competitive advantage. To achieve competitive advantage, the basis are good efficiency、quality、innovation and customer’s response. Enterprise internal must to have unique cost leadership or differential capability. By productive activity, differential capability is unlike competitor’s productivity, that included Production、 Capital、 Delivery、 Security、 Moral of output and 4M(Man, Machine, Material, Method) of input. TPM(Total Productivity Management)focus on facility and the cadre is productive loss, those are being developed the improvement and establish competitive advantage.
Concrete proceeding of TPM, not only follow 12 steps of TPM developing activity entirely, but also use objective management、career demonstration、activity procedure、examine system…etc, and use PLAN、DO、CHECK and ACT for management method to achieve the efficiency、quality、innovation and customer’s response. In the other word, TPM can help business get competitive advantage continually.
This research is focus on enterprises those got TPM BEST ENTERPRISE AWARD(different company and product proceeding)of JIPM. To analyze the forwarding steps、organization operate mechanism and the critical of success, and relationship between TPM and industrial competitive advantage. That will be a model for others. The result of research, TPM compacts with competitive advantage, and should not get any affection by different industry.
The main points are:
1. TPM can cohesive employee’s consensus and centripetal force.
2. TPM can rise employee’s problem innovate conscience effectively.
3. TPM can raise employee’s capability.
4. TPM can raise enterprise’s productivity.
5. TPM can raise enterprise’s efficiency、quality、innovation and customer’s response.
