Chou Jui is famous writer in China nowadays. Since 1979, Chou Jui started writing fantastic stories for children; he has many works, which are humorous and imaginative. Chou jui is the first China’s writer, whose works for children published in Taiwan in 1991.Up to now, the readers can find 22 works by Chou jui in Taiwan. What’s the charming ingredient within his fantastic stories? This study is trying to find out the answer.
This study is consisted of six chapters. Chapter One describes the rationale, the purpose, and the objective of this study. It also explains the procedures of conducting this research.
Chapter Two is an introduction of Chou Jui and his woks for children.
Chapter Three discusses the narration in Chou’s fantastic stories. Includes of perspective, narrator’s voice and humor narrative.
Chapter Four focuses on the aesthetics of Chou’s fantastic stories. Trying to figure out the aesthetic significance in his works.
Chapter Five analyzes Chou’s writing style, researching the transition of Chou’s creation by comparing the different periods of his fantastic stories.
The Conclusion chapter presents the attractive ingredient within his fantastic stories-real humor with serious thinking, imagining base on actuality, wonderful arrangement of plots, and excellent balance between tradition and creation.
