碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 商學研究所 === 90 === Abstract Medical equipment in hospitals belongs to a hyper-sophisticated and high-tech device, and the differences between medical and industrial equipment mainly lie on the requirement of usage safety. With the escalation of life value, the purpose of medical equipment maintenance and repair is gradually lifted from normal operation level to safety and quality warrant level. For getting a better image of medical service quality, equipment maintenance is not repair any longer. Cost is always one of the factors that help hospitals decide which maintenance alternatives to adopt; the goal of this thesis, based on the concepts of sunk cost & inventory management and case study method, is to compute the component-related and manpower-related cost of medical equipment maintenance operation for a public hospital. With the analysis infrastructure of this research, we hope to build and provide the hospital a general referential cost model for medical maintenance operation.
