Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 造船及海洋工程學研究所 === 90 === In this paper we develop a new scheme for solving the scalar transport equation, which involves convection, diffusion, and reaction terms, in irregular meshes. The novelty in the development of convection-diffusion-reaction scheme is to transform the investigated transport equation to its equivalent Helmholtz equation. Another feature worthy of note is that the quality of the simulated Helmholtz solution is independent of grid topology, thus avoiding time-consuming mesh generation. To validate the proposed scheme, we consider several test problems which are amenable to analytic solutions. Good agreement is obtained for both Helmholtz and convection-diffusion-reaction equations.
