Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 造船及海洋工程學研究所 === 90 === This research is to figure out the tendency of motion and loads of a high-Speed vessel in oblique wave by taking advantage of a practical method and model test results, and to clarify the effectiveness of the practical method. The practical method is developed basing on a nonlinear strip synthesis scheme, and the equations of motions are described by the body-fixed coordinate. The time-varying submerged hull surface and the coupling effect between transverse and vertical motions are considered. By using the momentum theory, the flare impact and dynamic lift are also taken into account. In the time domain simulation, applying digital filtering technique in sway and yaw motions to prevent the numerical divergence due to the drift of sway and/or yaw motions. In 1998, a series of seakeeping and wave loads tests in oblique waves have been carried out in SSPA with a model of 90-meter patrol vessel, designed by United Ship Design & Development Center. These test results are used to validate the present method. Both of model test and calculation results show the tendency of motion and loads of a high-speed vessel in oblique wave. The calculation results are compared with experimental ones, and shown well comparison in vertical motion and wave loads.
