This thesis addresses pulse mode servo strategy analysis based on an optical drive dual actuator system. Furthermore, we discuss the stability of pulse mode tracking in the view of Lyapunov Stability Theorem. Then we do some pulse mode tracking simulations by using the ramp input reference model. At the same time, we consider several nonlinear conditions such as saturation, friction, and backlash, etc. At last, we sum up all the results and work out the strategy of deciding the pulse specification.
