Summary:碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 生活應用科學研究所 === 90 === Abstract This study mainly focuses on the adequately preparing students for employment, and on competency-based instruction of the occupational courses of cosmetology in the Junior College. The subject populations for the study were those who worked in Taipei area. The samples were selected by purposive sampling. 112 questionnaires were collected by a return rate of 94.6%. 106 were in decided in quota. The instrument is “Questionnaire of the occupational Courses of Cosmetology in the Junior College”. Data were analyzed by SPSS 8.0 for Window and Microsoft Excel. Descriptive statistics, t-Test and One-way ANONVA were used. The results are as follows: 1.A set of occupational courses pf the cosmetology in Junior College, on competency-based for employment is developed. 2.There lies the difference between the existing courses offered by the cosmetology in Junior colleges and the needs of employment. 3.The number of credits of occupational courses given by existing courses in Junior College is same as the courses needed for employment. According to the result of this study, the author suggests the following viewpoints: 1.In order to build the professional ability for employment, the courses should be met the needs of job. 2.The second level of Skill Test Certify of cosmetology should be used as an evaluating tool for graduation. 3.In order to fulfill for the employment, on the job training is recommended. 4.For the further study, a 2-years Senior College courses could be developed.
